MembershipTYPES OF MEMBERSHIPThere are two types of membership:
Regular membership of this organization is open to any Nigerian - by birth, marriage, or naturalization - or a Nigerian-American (an individual born in Nigeria who has become a naturalized citizen of the United States of America), a child of a Nigerian or Nigerian-American, of good character. An eligible person becomes a member by paying membership dues. If unemployed at the time of request for membership, dues shall be deferred until employment is secured.
An individual who does not qualify for membership by the established criteria, may be made an honorary member, having duly applied, upon the recommendation of the Executive Board and approval of the House. DUESMembers pay annual dues of $85.00. In addition, new members pay a onetime Emergency Fund levy of $100 within 6 months of becoming members. MEETINGSMeetings are held on the last Saturday of every month from 6pm to 8pm. For directions to venue of monthly meeting, please contact NCOSWA. |
